5Congenital choanal atresia
It is adefect in canalization in the posterior choana due to persistent bucco-nasal membrane. It may be unilateral or bilateral. It may be assocaited with other congenital anomalies (CHARGE association).

*Clinical picture:
Unilateral or bilateral nasal obstruction & discharge.
*Investigations: CT axial cuts.


*Treatment:
a-In bilateral cases immediate perforation of the atretic plate using cervical dilator then stent is inserted.

b-In unilateral cases endoscopic drilling is performed at older age.


10Congenital midline nasal masses
1-Nasal dermoid.

2-Nasal encephalocele.
3-Nasal glioma.
